How to Care For Your ABS Tonneau Cover

How to Care For Your ABS Tonneau Cover
  • Painted Tonneau Cover

Our painted covers are painted in the exact same way as your truck. In fact we have invested over 5 million dollars into our state of the art paint facility to ensure you receive the most superior painted tonneau on the market. Painting our covers in the same fashion brands paint their trucks helps to prevent sun fade, and allows for a superior paint match.

    • What To Use:

Caring for our painted bed cover is much the same as the black textured, you should just wash it with mild soap and water, I recommend a car wash soap, however a small amount of dish wash soap will not harm it. High pressure car washes, either by hand or automatic will work as well, just be sure that the cover is latched properly.

    • What To Avoid:

You may use any wax or cleaner marked “safe for use with clear coat” on our cover.

  • Black Textured Tonneau Cover

Our black textured UnderCover is made from ABS plastic and is resistant to sun fading. The textured finish has been designed to mimic the look of many of the black textured parts that come on trucks from the factory. Most trucks have black on the mirror bases, bumper caps, door handles, window trim and more; making our cover the perfect complement to most modern trucks.

These black textured covers need very little maintenance, and in fact its not uncommon to mistake a 10 year old cover for a brand new one.

    • What To Use:

When caring for your ABS truck bed cover, simply wash it with mild soap and water. We recommend a car wash soap, however a small amount of dish wash soap will not harm it. High-pressure car washes, either by hand or automatic, will work as well. When you wash your cover, be sure that the cover is latched properly. An unlatched cover can come open during an automatic high pressure wash.

    • What To Avoid:

Avoid the use of waxes or any product not labeled “safe for use on plastics”. If you have a stain on the cover that will not come out with soap and water, you can use a small amount of mild degreaser mixed with water and scrub the area with a soft bristle brush.

Most vinyl protectants are safe for use on our cover. However, be sure to buff the cover by hand with a clean cloth after applying the protectant. If you simply spray on and wipe, some protectants will run off down the side of the truck during rain or heavy morning dew.
